Dare to Dream

Every four years
We are made to listen
To the story of hurt

It’s been many a year
Since England have flourished
And been in reign

It is hard to hear
For the other nations
Who have never had the chance

But now things have changed
We have been given the chance
To dare to dream

It’s not for world reign
But it’s European glory
And it has been a wild ride

We may never have won
But we do not whine
We just dare to dream

The Choice Has Been Made

We had a choice
We made our decisions
Some voted to stay,
Others wanted to leave

We had a choice
The decisions been made
The ties will be cut
And we will be on our own

What does this mean?
Is it a good thing?
Or do we need to hide
It seems like its gone dark

The lights are off
Trouble is looming
Tough times are ahead
And the future is unknown

It is a stress
It’s hard to believe
Some are in shock
While others are relieved

What does this mean?
Only time will tell
For now it’s all chaos
And the future is unknown

Life seems bleak
But we do have hope
And God is in control
He will uphold us all

For some this is helpful
But others still despair
But we have lost control
It’s best we surrender all

The Next Choice

We have been granted,
A voice to speak
To air our views
And make our own decision

What way do we go?
Who do we follow?
Do we want to remain?
Or is it better to leave?

They gave us a question
To which there are two answers
But the views put upon us
Contradict many a thing

It is hard to decide
What is best for us?
When even the powers to be
Don’t really have a clue

Whatever the outcome is
It is out of our hands
So we need to put our trust,
In the sovereignty of our Lord

My Flaming Heart

You walked into my life
Knocked me off course
And took over my heart

All day, everyday
You are in my thoughts
You just won’t go away

You stole my heart
And set it on fire
Leaving me with a flaming heart

But now I can’t breathe
You are causing me to fall
I just need to walk away

I need to break free,
Remove myself from you
It’s time to clear my head

For now I’ll say goodbye
Maybe for a while, maybe forever
Who know for how long

Life as a Child

Oh how great it would be,
To be a kid again
To roam free
Have no worries
And be happy

Life as a child
Meant having meals cooked
Our laundry done
And friends always there,
Playing all the time

Ok, there was school
But it was fun
We had play times
And long holidays
It wasn’t too hard work

Life as a child
Was easier to live
Than life as an adult
We had no responsibilities
As our parents were in control

Ok, we had some problems
Like older siblings beating on us
And dad eating our chips
With early evening bedtimes
But generally life was good.

Life as a child
Meant contentment and joy
With the only major problem
Being our parents saying no
When we wanted a yes

Now life as a child
Is so different from our time
There are more restraints,
More rules, worries and concerns
Is it hard being a kid?

Life as a child
It’s a good thing to be,
So embrace your childhood
Enjoy your carefree days
Because being an adult is hard!

I Believe

I am a Christian
I believe in God
I believe in Jesus
I believe in the Holy Spirit

I am a Christian
I believe in the Trinity,
The Three in Once,
God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit

I believe in God
And that he sent,
His only son to die for us
On the cross

I believe in Jesus,
Who walked alongside us
Then died on the cross,
Only to rise again

I believe in the Holy Spirit
That he dwells within me,
And helps me grow
By leading and guiding me

Watching Over You

This unruly life,
Is all about,
Climbing mountains,
Trying not to fall

But if you fall,
Do not worry,
Because someone is waiting
To pick you up again

He will stand you firmly,
On solid ground
Watching over you
Keeping you afloat

Even if you are not,
Seeking His presence,
He is always out there
Looking out for you

It is up to you
Whether you choose to accept
The love He pours upon you
And the hope that he brings
