Sleeplessness

It’s the middle of the night

I just want to go to sleep

But I have a friend with me

His name is sleeplessness

I'm not sure if he is a friend

As he is keeping me from sleep

And friends wouldn't do that

Since they are meant to care

I close my eyes but nothing

Sleep will just not come

I wish sleep was my friend

Because I am so tired

I just want to go to sleep

To enter into dream world

And awake the next day

Feeling refreshed and anew
