Mary's Ode

I went to the grave

But no one was there

The stone which was guarded,

Was now rolled away

Where has he gone?

What did they do?

The tomb is empty

Jesus has gone

I turned to leave

A man was there

He said to me

Why the tears?

I explained my tears

I longed for Jesus

He once was there

But now he has gone

Mary, he said

In recognisable tones

Rabboni, I said

Jesus you have risen

Yes Mary it is I

It is the third day

And I have risen

Just as was foretold

Run tell the disciples

Tell them I am here

Rejoice and be glad

Redemption has arrived
