Angry at You

I am angry at you

For being you

And doing what you do

You are a mess

But can’t admit to it

Instead you act all holier than thou

Your mouth says one thing

Your actions another

You just don’t add up

You make promises,

You cannot keep

And hurt people along the way

Mr Muse

I have lost my muse

He has gone on holiday

And left me alone

I feel lost

I can’t write

I have lost the ability

To put pen to paper

And make sense

I feel bereft

My brain feels stranded

On a lonely island

With no one for company

My mind is buzzing

But not with words

There is just noise

Nothing useful there

Mr Muse please come back

I feel lost without you

I need your help

To help me write

I want to be creative

But without you

I am unable to do this

I just want to scream

Help me, please

I need to be creative

My hearts needs an outlet

All the time

We run around

To avoid

The truth

We try to be strong

To live our lives

To the full

To be the best

But we fail

Because on our own

We are weak

And we are frail

We all need someone

To be there for us

To lean on

To listen and talk to

We can’t do life alone

But who do we turn to

In who or in what

Do we seek solace?
