Look at You

When I look at you

I see the pain in your eyes

And your aching heart

My heart breaks for you

I want to wrap my arms around you

And say everything will be ok

But I can’t do that

And I don’t know the future

And how it will turn out

But I pray for you

That your pain will lift

And your heart becomes lighter

I wish to see you smile

To see the glint in your eyes

And hear your laugh again
