Just Like Me

I turn to you

For comfort

For love and affirmation

                                                                                                                      

But when I turn

I can’t see you

As you walked away

 

I wanted you to tell me

That all will be okay

But on you, I cannot rely on

 

In you I want solace

But that you do not give

You offer little rest

 

It's hard for you to be

Exactly what I need

Because you are just like me

 

You need comfort

You need rest

And a place to heal your soul
