In the Garden of
Eden
Lived Adam and Eve
Put together as
perfect
By their loving
creator
Many trees planted
Pleasing to the
eye
And lots of fruit growing
Which was good to
eat
But on one tree,
Grew forbidden
fruit,
Not fit for
consumption
Or death will
occur
Along came evil
To upset the plans
To help break the
rules
And upset nature
The fruit won’t
kill
Was the serpent’s
secret
The lie, of all
lies
That everything
would be ok
So the woman did
take,
A bite of the fruit
Forbidden and
wrong
But tasted so good
Naked and ashamed
Confronted by the
maker
Guilty but no
longer free
Life had changed forever
