Expectations

Do I expect too much?

Do I care too much?

Do I think too much?

Is it hard to pick up the phone?

To send a text or make a call

And say how are you today?

You know my number

You know me as well

Yet you still don’t care

Am I really that person?

That when I am out of sight

I am out of minds as well

Does it really matter?

In this grand scheme of life

I am just one tiny particle

There is more to life than me

There is you and there is them

And we all make the world turn
