To have a relationship

So why blame just one?

Why think you are innocent?

It takes two to start a row

But only one gets side-lined

Why wash your hands off them?

Why do you walk away?

It takes two

You initiated everything

You did the running

You are part to blame

It is time for you to own up

Accept your part in all this

Don’t just blame one person

It takes two to make things break

You say one thing

Then you say another

It is all mixed messages

Which you are sending

Stand up to your ways

And admit your faults

You are not free and blameless

You walk away

You sit and judge

You bring the tears

And just criticise

Where is the love?

That you claim to have

It’s all hurt these days

One day you are full on

The next you complain

You send mixed messages

And want some space

But you still can’t see

The part you have played

A Puzzle

Life is a puzzle

Like a cryptic crossword

Trying to solve the problems

Time consuming and hard

We go round and round

Like a never ending circle

Stuck in a maze

With no way out

We try to piece things together

Trying to find the corners

And match the colours

Like a demanding jigsaw

But if we take a step back

And assess our situation

The pieces come together

And then we can breathe

My thirst is unquenchable

Of you, I can’t get enough

But this life is not for you

So now I am dropping back

I have had too many close calls

It is time I look after me

And protect my precious heart

Like piercing the veil between

I am mostly harmless

Just passionate in love

But a promise from me,

I shall now proceed gently

I know it has been hard

Living with me

But I want to thank you

For being there for me

I am sorry things are broken

For all the hushed cries

I want to see you smile

And wander life free

Looking at the stars

Admiring the night sky

It is just you and me

Standing in the silence

In the cool of the night

Listening to the sounds

Of the little night owls

It is a glorious feeling

To be here with you

No troubles to deal with

Suffering Souls

What suffering souls we are

Spending out lifetime together

Wiping our tears away

And trying to carry on

We are at our wits end

Not knowing what to do

With no words to day

We are just dumbfounded

What can we do?

How do we get peace?

We just want to live

Does it really matter?

If people don’t know

Will it make a difference?

If everyone knows the truth?

Only one person matters

He knows your heart already

It should only be him

That knows the whole truth

The world won’t fall apart

It people are in the dark

It won’t make a difference

As that can’t fix you anyway

Hold back the tears

Stop all the antics

Don’t live in pretence

Just be yourself

The people who matter

They know the real you

They see the pain

And they have your back

Rest in the true knowledge

That people do care

And it’s those who matter

Who are holding your hand

Don’t tell your story,

To everyone you know

Be content in your heart

And rest in the truth

The people who matter

They never give up on you

They are the ones who really care

And love you everyday

Nothing you can do

Will make them love you less

Because to them you are special
