You and Me

My thirst is unquenchable

Of you, I can’t get enough

But this life is not for you

So now I am dropping back

I have had too many close calls

It is time I look after me

And protect my precious heart

Like piercing the veil between

I am mostly harmless

Just passionate in love

But a promise from me,

I shall now proceed gently

I know it has been hard

Living with me

But I want to thank you

For being there for me

I am sorry things are broken

For all the hushed cries

I want to see you smile

And wander life free
