Heavy

My heart is heavy

My smile is weak

My head’s full of fog

I think I may drown

However there is hope

As you came to rescue me

You hold out your hand

And tell me to hold on

I can’t look into your eyes

I am full of shame

You keep encouraging me

And tell me to hold on

Due to your faith in me

I decide to trust

And I grab your hand

Letting you hold me up

You tell me to smile

To walk head held high

To believe in myself
