Scars

Life can be tough

It can tear you part

And leave deep scars

Ones that will not heal

No matter what you do

Your roots can be pulled

No matter how firm,

You think they are planted

You try to put a brave face on

And not sure your pain

No matter how hard you try,

The creases will still show

The root may be rocky,

But stay on course

As in the end,

It will be worth it
