A Careless Moment

The last four years

Have been some of the best for me

Every morning when I woke up

I had a smile on my face

Cos I knew I had you in my life

Every moment of the day, I thought about you

Wondering what you were up to

I thought of you working hard

Wish I could be with you

In order to de-stress you

I thought we’d be together forever

I had our future planned in my head

I dreamt of going to sleep with you

And waking up beside you every day

I wish that dream would have come true

Unfortunately some goods things never last

And this one didn’t

Who’d have thought one careless moment?

Would have torn us apart

But it did and because of that I’m sad

Now when I wake up I’m still smiling

Smiling with the memories in my head

Memories of all our times together

And for me the good times outweigh the bad

I’m glad for the time we had

Now when I look to the future

You’re not by my side anymore

But you’re still in my heart

You always will be

Forever you’ll be my friend
