You're a mystery

Listen to me speak to you
I loved you for your joy
Your joy of the world
Your ability to embrace the unknown

Whatever was thrown at you, you accepted
It was the challenge you live for
The struggle of life enthralled you
You were a believer of the unknown

When you walked in to a room
The whole place lit up
People turned to you looking at those eyes
Filled with mischievousness and mystery

You were a mystery to me
Still are a mystery to me
I love unravelling you
To find out what lays under those many layers

You are a complex being
With many sides to you
But that’s what attracts me to you
The mystery surrounds you
