Freedom and Joy

All you have got in life which is static is me

Be grateful that you are free

You may feel twisted and confused

But one day you’ll be able to fly

And when you fly, you’ll go high

As high as a bird into the skies

Into the skies to be with me

Pray for the chance to be free

Free from the dirty floor of your life

And give thanks that you now have light

The floors below are dirty and dark

But the floor you are on is shining with light

Take this chance to reflect on yourself

Find out why you feel the way you do

Why is there a storm cloud looming?

When all you want is sunshine

Sometimes you need the thunder to come

We need to feel the rain on us

To make us see that life

Isn’t all fluffy and nice

Life is hard but it gets easier

There will be storms and floods

But there will also be glorious sunshine

When you put your trust in me

Come to me when you are weary

Let me comfort and protect you

Don’t rely on medication for a pick me up

As faith in me is stronger

Faith and belief in me is true

It will heal the pain

Just turn to me when you are weak

And I will make you strong

Learn to love me the way you do

Learn to live in the freedom you have

Leave the twisted world behind

And step on to the golden road of joy

Let the past go, let the joy flow free

Free to the veins of your life

I am the only one to bring freedom and comfort

Come to me all those who are heavy burdened

Here we come to the end

The end of a lift of past hurts

Ready to start the journey afresh

Living with the newness of one day at a time
