Lonely on a Saturday Night

You were my man on a Saturday night
We had fun together
You were ill, you couldn’t cope
So you left
You left me, left your job and your friends

Why?
Cause you couldn’t cope, you ran away
You’re a doctor and give out advice
You told a patient, “Don’t run away or it will get worse”
Take your own advice

People will say that you are a coward
That you couldn’t bear to see them together
I know and you that’s not true
Let them know you are ill
Make them feel guilty especially him

It will do you good, do him good
He’ll see why you have been acting like that
Not out of jealously or hate
But out of pain
Show him, show us and last of all show yourself

I can’t bear to see you leave
My happy Saturday nights with you, will turn into
My sad Saturday nights without you
Please don’t go
Without you, I’ll be lonely on a Saturday night
