Someone once asked me to name three things in a friendship

I said trust, kindness and loyalty

Was I fooling myself when I said that?

Yes, I know what friendship is but do my “friends”

Yes, we talk but does it mean anything

Does it mean sharing our feelings?

Does it mean trusting them with what we tell them?

Does it even mean telling them our secrets?

Do you tell them or don’t you tell them

If you do will they listen

If you do will they care

If you do will they keep it to themselves or will they tell other people

You’re mind’s boggling it’s about to explode

You need to tell someone but you can’t

Why can’t you, have you asked yourself that

Is it to do with you or is it to do with them?
