Jumble of Thoughts

Don't know where we are heading
Don't know what we are doing
Are we in love, or aren't we
I don’t want my feelings hurt again
And either does he

We are playing with death
We are staring at death
The realisation is, that,
Everybody is guilty of something
Especially us

In life, everyone experiences love
No matter who or what they are
                                              Some lose that love
As someone new appears in their life
They think that love can be experienced with them
But the reality is, it can’t

We were two improbable dreamers,
Who dared to play the game of love
The game of faith and the game of chance
Our love was like a depth charge
It went down easy and exploded,
At a pre set level primed to expose the pressure points

Our relationship was mixed
There was virtuosity on the surface
Imaginative density and profundity of inquiry underneath
The vagrancy of youth, the corruption of obsession,
The permanence of evil, destroyed us, forever
However, a re-entry into the past was,
Sensually vivid and metaphysically convincing
And reunited us once more

The power of love
The loneliness of separation
Drove two improbable dreamers
Back into each other’s lives
Back into each other’s hearts
