Finally, I have let you go

Finally, things can improve

My attitude has changed towards you

And my feelings have vanished

Many months of abuse from you

Left me feeling torn in two

My heart was broken

And my confidence shattered

I felt useless whilst in your presence

Afraid to talk, afraid to even breathe

Because it was ammunition for you

At every chance you put me down

You wrecked my self esteem

Bruised my ego

And nearly ruined my life

You left me with nothing, but a hole

A hole of emptiness and pain

Pain which has now disappeared

After months of agony

After months of prayer

I have let you go

Forgiven you for your actions

Forgiven you for your words

Finally the past has been put behind me
